Maroma Resort

Set on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, the Maroma Resort and Spa is a secluded and luxurious hideaway nestled on the edge of the turquoise Caribbean and protected by 200 acres of jungle preserve.

There are 65 rooms and suites scattered among lush gardens with some overlooking the large expanse of white beach. The rooms are furnished with mahogany beds and are decorated with hand painted tiles, soft wool rugs, original art and locally carved furniture. All the rooms have large bathrooms with baths, and large terraces with hammocks. For that special occasion, how about staying in one of the new Sian Nah Suites, Mayan for “House of Heaven”. These are located right on the ocean front, have a large bedroom with separate living area, large bathroom with outside shower, covered patio with furniture and your own plunge pool.

There are four restaurants ranging from the formal El Sol to Freddy’s Bar which is located on the beach and serves light meals throughout the day, direct to your lounge chair on the beach should you wish.

Luxury Spa Hotel

The Kinan Spa opened in 2004 and is a great addition to the Maroma Resort. Kinan is the Mayan for the energy of the sun, and offers a full range of spa services in an unique environment.

The Maroma Resort offers a range of leisure activities from the three swimming pools, two tennis courts, deep sea fishing, sailing, snorkelling or diving on the fabulous reefs with a huge variety of fish and coral, located off the shore. Excursions include trips to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere, adventures into the jungle, and day trips to Mayan sites such as Tulum and Chichen Itza.
